Allen Lidkey

Allen Lidkey is from Dallas, Texas and has been making acting his business since he was eight years old. After receiving his BA in Theatre in the US he continued his training at East 15 Acting School, in London, where he received his MA in acting. Though none of his acting work has taken place in an airport he does believe that airports have a way of bringing out the best and the worst of people at any given moment, just like the theatre.

Stage works include Hank Wandabeck in The Dead Monkey (Proud Galleries); Paul Drake U/S in Killing Castro (Theatre Royal Haymarket No. 1 Tour); Peter in Baby Makes Seven (Lion and Unicorn); Dominic in This One’s For You, Hula Girl (24 Hour Plays: New Voices, Old Vic London); Chris Smith in Killer Joe (Bristol Old Vic Studio).

Feature film works include The Tales of Hoffman (dir Luc Mollienger); How to Lose Your Friends & Alienate People (dir Robert B. Weide; in cinemas in 2008); The Walker (dir Paul Schrader).

Television includes three episodes as various characters in The Omid Djalili Show (BBC 1, airing autumn 2007). Radio includes Smoke and Mirrors; The Woman’s Room; The Blank Wall; and More Fabulous Flops all for BBC Radio 4.
